Microsoft Remote Desktop…

Microsoft is replacing the Remote Desktop app with the Windows App for remote PC access. The transition started in September 2024 as part of Microsoft’s effort to unify connectivity services across devices. Support for the Remote Desktop app will end on May 27, 2025, and it will no longer be available for download. Users must switch to the Windows App to continue accessing Windows 365, Azure Virtual Desktop, and Microsoft Dev Box. However, some Remote Desktop features are not yet available in the Windows App, requiring users to temporarily rely on Remote Desktop Connection or RemoteApp and Desktop Connection.
