iPad Pro 14"...
It has been nearly 8 years since the first 12.9-inch iPad was released by Apple, and 5 years since it received a slim bezel design with Face ID and other features. The next step for the iPad Pro may be a larger size, as rumors of a 14-inch iPad Pro have been circulating. Bloomberg's Mark Gurman reported in July 2021 that Apple was exploring the possibility of a larger iPad, but that it was still in the early stages of development and likely a few years away.
In June 2022, Ross Young predicted that the larger iPad Pro in development would be 14.1 inches and feature mini-LED lighting and ProMotion 1-120Hz refresh rates. However, it is unlikely to be released in early 2023 as originally thought. A report in October 2022 from Wayne Ma at The Information suggests that Apple may also be working on a 16-inch iPad Pro.
More recently, a Twitter leaker known as Analyst 941 has shared several rumored details about the 14-inch iPad Pro, including a "special version of iPadOS 17" in the works for the larger model(s), external display support for up to two 6K monitors at 60Hz, and the use of an M3 Pro chip. There is a possibility that the mention of "larger iPad Pro model(s)" could be a reference to The Information's report of a 16-inch model alongside the 14-inch.
There have also been rumors of Apple wanting to bring MagSafe to the iPad Pro, but the company has reportedly encountered challenges in doing so. As for a release date for the larger iPad Pro models, it is unclear when they will be available. Mark Gurman believes that a "major iPad Pro revamp" will not happen until 2024, while Wayne Ma suggests that the 16-inch model could be released as early as Q4 2023. It is also possible that the 14-inch and 16-inch models could be released at different times.
