Big Changes Coming to Future Computers...
Microsoft has released a new build of Windows 11, which includes several new features that are expected to soon be available to the public. Among these features are content-adaptive brightness control, a new widgets picker, OneDrive storage improvements, tab limits for Alt+Tab, a new print screen shortcut, USB4 hub and settings, touch keyboard options, 2FA copying, sensor settings, and a VPN signal. The new build is available to Windows Insider Release Channel users, and Microsoft has stated that these features will be released to the public soon.
Content-adaptive brightness control is an optional feature that dynamically changes screen brightness and contrast to emphasize videos, while the new widgets picker provides a preview of what to expect when adding a widget. OneDrive storage improvements show the full amount of storage space allocated to all OneDrive subscriptions in the Accounts page of the Settings app. Tab limits for Alt+Tab allow users to limit their most recent tabs to 20 within the Settings > Multitasking section.
Additionally, Microsoft has made several tweaks to its existing features, such as adding support for different English accents to voice commands and key shortcuts to File Explorer. Live captions, a feature that applies AI captions to pre-recorded video, now supports several languages. The new Windows 11 build is expected to be released to the public soon, and users can ensure they receive the new features by turning on the toggle for “Get the latest updates as soon as they’re available” in the Windows Update settings.
