Windows 11 Start menu…
Windows 11 may soon improve its Start menu by introducing a “category” view that organizes apps similarly to the Windows 10 Start menu. This new feature, discovered by a user in the latest beta build (Build 22635.4082), categorizes apps into sections like “entertainment” and “music.” However, the feature isn’t fully customizable and is currently only accessible through hidden settings, with no official acknowledgment from Microsoft yet.
The beta also adds media controls to the lock screen for easier access without unlocking the PC. These changes are expected to be part of the Windows 11 24H2 update, anticipated for release this fall.
