Classic Outlook EOL…

Microsoft is phasing out its Mail, Calendar, and People apps by December 31, 2024, urging users to transition to the new Outlook app. The shift is part of a broader plan to replace the classic Outlook with the new version, despite the latter lacking some legacy features.

Key Dates:

• Transition for Microsoft 365 Business Standard and Premium users begins in January 2025.

• The full transition is expected to be completed by April 2026.

• Classic Outlook will still be supported through perpetual and subscription licenses until at least 2029.

While Microsoft has promised to add missing features to the new Outlook, skepticism remains, and users may prefer sticking with the classic version for as long as possible.
