WWWF Shutdown…
The World Wide Web Foundation (WWWF), founded by Tim Berners-Lee in 2009, announced its closure after 15 years of advocating for a safer, more accessible web. When the foundation began, only 20% of the global population had internet access; today, that number has grown to 70%. Although the web faces increasing threats like scams and malware, many organizations now work to protect users’ rights online. Berners-Lee will shift his focus to developing the Solid Protocol, which aims to create a more open and decentralized future for the web.
