Google Photos for iOS Update...

Google Photos has introduced a new feature for iPhone users, allowing them to create a secure folder with a passcode to protect sensitive photos and videos. Previously available only on Android, this Locked Folder feature requires Touch ID, Face ID, or a passcode for access. The content within this folder remains hidden, even when browsing through Google Photos or other apps. Google assures that the data backed up to the cloud is well-protected with encryption technology. Users can choose not to back up sensitive content to Google's servers and keep it only within the Locked Folder on their device. This enhancement comes amid Google's focus on providing secure backup for users' cherished memories, although a technical issue in 2020 led to private videos being mistakenly shared with strangers. The update also includes improvements to the settings screen for easier management of privacy, sharing, backup, and notifications.
