Apple Teases "Code New Worlds" Ahead of WWDC...

Apple is teasing the upcoming debut of the Reality Pro headset in a blog post on the Apple Developer website, ahead of the WWDC 2023 event. The tagline "code new worlds" suggests the introduction of a new software platform, xrOS, which will power the headset. This platform will likely enable developers to create immersive experiences using virtual reality for gaming, content, and more. The term "metaverse" has been avoided by Apple's CEO, Tim Cook, and marketing executive Greg Joswiak. Sources suggest that xrOS will include an AR "app" creation feature using Siri, similar to features in Meta's headsets. The WWDC 2023 keynote will be held on June 5, with comprehensive coverage available from 9to5Mac throughout the event.
