Microsoft Changes Print Screen Button...
Microsoft is updating the functionality of the PrtScn button on Windows 11 Insider Preview to open the Snipping Tool app instead of triggering the Print Screen function. This allows users to take full-screen, window, or custom region snips, and will soon include the ability to record video clips. However, users can turn off this feature in the Accessibility settings.
Despite the change, the traditional Print Screen function still works on Windows 11 and can be pasted into other applications using CTRL-V. On a Microsoft Surface test machine, the function works but without the usual "flash" to indicate it has been activated.
